Greece is not only a popular vacation destination, but since 2019 also the venue of an Ironman 70.3.
After an interruption last year, the race took place again this year on the beautiful Costa Navarino and Anton Russegger tackled the half distance together with Bernd Barounig.
Well prepared they were at the start and accordingly the form of the two was: after a solid swim they let it rip first on the bike, the many meters of altitude on the mountain bikes paid off on the demanding course with over 1,000 altitude. After the change into the running shoes, the action started here as well, on the undulating course both could deliver really well at the end: Toni finished in 04:40:55h and Bernd in 04:46:29h.
