Athlete information
With the 3 disciplines it is always very varied in training and you can see a lot of nature. Triathlon - a sport where you can perfect 3 disciplines and show what is possible. For me triathlon is a lifestyle, this sport is a fixed part of my life.
The first MD at the Challenge St. Pölten 2019 - everything went perfectly until the 7th km came during the run. With strong stomach pain I had to fight through and it was more than hard not to give up here. But giving up was not an option. With 5h I could proudly end the fight.
My main job is with the police in a special unit - ASE WEGA. Very important for me is the balance with my family and friends with whom I like to go out to eat or spend time comfortably. To switch off, I like to be alone in the mountains and enjoy nature.
The balance is not always easy to manage in my job, often there is a lot of overtime. A 70-80 hour week is not uncommon, but it is still out of the question for me to cut out training. I do it with passion and therefore the question does not arise. Often it is hard to go into training after 24h duty but a mental toughness belongs to a certain degree to it! I usually do my training first and then enjoy time with my loved ones.
